0% Credit Card Deals for New Accounts

Several credit card issuers now offer an introductory interest rate that is fixed below the card's standard APR for a limited period. These rates are typically very competitive in order to attract new customers, but will revert to the standard rate when the introductory period comes to an end. Select '0% credit card deals' above to view the latest deals.

Credit Card Balance Transfers

If you have a card with a large balance carried over each month, it may be worth transferring the balance to a card with a lower rate. Many providers offer 0% APR on credit card balance transfers. The discounted period usually lasts between 5 and 12 months. However some of the better credit cards for balance transfers offer 0% interest for up to 13 or 15 months. Transferring balances to take advantage of these deals can mean big savings on annual interest costs. Look out for initial transfer fees of 2-3% though! When the offer period comes to an end, the interest rate reverts to the standard APR, which varies, depending on the UK credit card and your credit rating.

Individuals who wish to maximise savings on outstanding balances can change to a card charging 0 per cent for an introductory period and aim to clear as much as possible within that time period. If this is impractical, or you don't wish to constantly change transfer balances, perhaps opt for a card which offers a low rate until the balance is completely cleared.

Low Interest Credit Cards

Many consumers pay higher rates of interest for spending on their credit cards than the best APR available because they remain with the same issuer. Another provider may offer better ongoing rates for purchases or cashback, adding to the savings that can be made.

Consumers who rarely change their credit card may be being charged excessive rates of interest. With so many low rate deals and introductory 0% offers for purchases and balance transfers currently available, now is a great time to move to a low interest credit card.
